Outside the Frame is the second novel in The Voranant Sisters Trilogy, a Thai sapphic romance series about three sisters shaped by family legacy, professional expectations and the different ways women learn to choose love without losing themselves.
This story follows Kamonchanok "Mon" Voranant, the exacting chief financial officer of Voranant Atelier. Mon can organise the company’s future, solve her family’s problems and carry responsibilities no one else notices. Beneath her competence lies a private fear that people value her only for what she can do for them.
When documentary storyteller Kaeo Channarong is commissioned to record the Atelier’s history, she becomes interested in the woman who initially refuses to stand in front of her camera. Kaeo insists that she wants Mon herself, not her position, contacts or professional access. Their growing relationship gives Mon the courage to be seen beyond her usefulness.
Their love is tested when Kaeo uses one of Mon’s vulnerable answers as the emotional centre of the documentary. Although Mon legally permitted the interview to be used, she never expected her private fear to be framed as the defining truth about her family.
